New Delhi/Hyderabad, March 18 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday clarified that his government had no role in the station bail granted to MP Putta Mahesh in connection with the Moinabad farmhouse drugs case.

Speaking to reporters during his visit to New Delhi, the Chief Minister said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted only to expedite the probe into the case and not to influence any legal proceedings.

On the political front, Revanth Reddy stated that the next Telangana Assembly elections would not be held in 2028, expressing confidence that simultaneous elections are likely to take place in 2029.

He also said he would welcome the early implementation of women's reservation in legislative bodies.
