New Delhi, March 26 -- Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale on Wednesday said in the Rajya Sabha that the caste system in the country has been abolished under the constitutional provisions and efforts are on to fill up the reserved posts and not reservation in the higher judiciary.
Replying to a supplementary question during the Question Hour, Athawale said that there is no caste system in the country as per the provisions of the Constitution.
The government is committed to providing justice to all and the Modi government is now working towards complete poverty alleviation.
