Chandigarh, Nov. 6 -- Former Punjab minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia failed to secure relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court in the ongoing disproportionate assets case. His bail plea was heard, but no interim order was granted.

The court has adjourned the matter for further hearing.

The high court session, which lasted nearly three hours, saw Majithia's legal team presenting detailed arguments asserting that the case against him was politically motivated.
