Mumbai, Oct. 20 -- There are nearly 96 lakh to 1 crore bogus voters in Maharashtra's electoral rolls and fair elections are impossible unless they are removed, said Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut.

Addressing media today, he warned that his party would not allow elections to take place until the voter lists are corrected.

Raut pointed out that Home Minister Amit Shah recently vowed to identify and remove infiltrators from voter lists. "We welcome his statement. Let him start by removing the one crore infiltrators in Maharashtra's list," Raut said.
