Shimla, April 1 -- The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday informed the Assembly that there is currently no permanent policy framework to regulate the service of outsourced employees.
Replying to written question raised by MLAs Prakash Rana and Dr. Janak Raj, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated that the state is spending approximately Rs 1,172 crore per month on salaries and allowances for regular and contractual employees, totaling Rs14,062 crore annually.
In comparison, expenditure on outsourced employees is significantly lower, at Rs19 crore per month and Rs 224 crore annually.
The government also informed the House that around 13,000 personnel are engaged on an outsourcing basis across various departments.
