No Pakistani nationals staying in Mizoram amid Centre's expulsion order
Aizawl, April 27 -- Following the Centre's directive asking Pakistani nationals to leave India in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, Mizoram appears to have no Pakistani visa holders currently residing in the state, officials said on Sunday.
Officials from the Foreigners' Registration Office (FRO) in Aizawl confirmed that any Pakistani seeking to enter Mizoram would be required to obtain a Protected Area Permit (PAP) and that records show no Pakistani nationals have entered the state in recent times. Historically too, Mizoram has seen negligible footfall from Pakistan, either by tourists or others, they added.
