Agartala, April 28 -- Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday revealed that following instructions of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the administration undertook an extensive exercise and found no Pakistani nationals here.
However, 200 Bangladeshis were found to be currently legally staying in the state.
"The report has already been sent to the Union Home Ministry detailing the presence of foreign nationals in the state along with the security measures undertaken," Dr Saha stated. Soon after, Union Home Minister directed immediate action to identify foreign nationals in the region; District Superintendents of Police (SPs) and District Magistrates (DMs) plunged into action, he said.
