Imphal, May 22 -- None of the newspapers published in Manipur produced their Thursday edition due to a protest over halting over a media team going to attend Shirui festival by 4 Mahar Regiment at Imphal East district on May 20 last.
Journalists across the state launched a pen down strike on Wednesday. A general body meeting was held on Wednesday jointly organized by All Manipur Working Journalists' Union and Editor Guild Manipur at Press Club.
A team of journalists discussed the matter with the Governor following which another meeting was conducted at Press Club.
