Patna, Jan. 23 -- Amid 'push and pull ' among NDA constituents over upcoming assembly elections in neighbouring state Uttar Pradesh, the BJP on Sunday announced that Vikas Sheel Insan party (VIP) would not be given even a single seat by the ruling coalition for the coming Bihar Legislative Council elections.

Altogether 24 seats from the local bodies quota are up for grabs in the coming polls to the state legislative council,

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Tar Kishore Prasad told the media here that his party had 13 sitting MLCs from the local bodies quota of 24 seats for which elections would be held. BJP would contest 13 seats leaving 11 seats for other National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constituents, he added.
