Srinagar, Jan. 10 -- The cold wave showed no let-up in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as minimum temperatures dip further in several parts of the two union territories.

The summer capital Srinagar, which witnessed the coldest night of the season a night earlier, recorded a low of -5.7degC last night, slightly higher than -6.0degC the preceding night.

The intense cold wave has frozen parts of the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar, water bodies and water pipes.

The day temperature in Srinagar on Friday was recorded at 10.8 degree Celsius, around 4.2 degrees above the normal temperature.
