No justification for ED; such dept should be abolished: Akhilesh

Lucknow, April 16 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that with Income Tax Department in place there is no justification behind Enforcement Directorate (ED) and such a department should be abolished.

While speaking to the media on his two-day visit to Bhubaneswar in Odisha, Akhilesh said that a department like ED should be abolished. "There are many institutions, including IT, to look into economic crime cases," he said.
