Shimla, July 2 -- In the wake of rainfall-related disasters across Himachal Pradesh, the state government has issued strict guidelines regarding the closure of schools under the Disaster Management Act, 2005. While students may be granted leave for safety, the teaching and non-teaching staff will be required to report to duty.
In a letter issued by the Secretary (Education), it has been clarified that closure of schools due to adverse weather conditions does not imply leave for the staff. All school personnel are expected to attend duties and carry out specific assignments during this period.
