Hyderabad, Dec. 30 -- Telangana Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday clarified that there is no distinction between accreditation cards and media cards, and assured that all government benefits extended to accreditation cardholders would equally apply to media cardholders as well.
Addressing concerns raised by desk journalists, the Minister said there was no need for any apprehension or misconceptions. "There is no bias. Don't worry, I am with you. The intention is not to treat journalists as two separate categories," he said, adding that the government's resolve was to extend welfare schemes only to eligible and genuine journalists.
