Patna, March 7 -- union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Saturday ruled out any proposal to create a union Territory by merging certain districts of Bihar and West Bengal, saying the Central Government has no such plan and the claims are completely baseless.
Responding to a statement made by Purnea MP Pappu Yadav on social media platform X, Rai said the remarks were entirely devoid of facts.
He alleged that the Purnea MP was spreading rumours to mislead people.
Rai appealed to the public not to take such claims seriously and urged them not to pay attention to rumours being circulated.
