Patna, May 8 -- Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday launched the "Mukhya Mantri Neera Sanvardhan Yojana'' for providing financial incentives to Neera tappers and toddy palm tree owners in Bihar.
Kumar launched "Mukhya Mantri Neera Sanvardhan Yojana", which would provide much-needed relief to Neera tappers and toddy palm tree owners. Toddy and Neeraj's business, mostly handled by the Paasi community, had suffered losses after the sale and tapping of toddy, was banned after Bihar was declared a complete dry state in April 2016 after enforcing liquor ban law.
