Patna, Nov. 19 -- Security arrangements have been tightened for the grand swearing-in ceremony of Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister, who will take oath for a record 10th time, at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday.
Sources at the state headquarters said here today that security personnel were keeping a hawk's eyes on every movement in and around the venue, with the event likely to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with some senior union Ministers.
Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath, Delhi's Rekha Gupta and Madhya Pradesh's Mohan Yadav are expected to be present. BJP national president J.P. Nadda, senior party leaders would also attend the programme.
