New Delhi, April 10 -- In a quiet yet politically significant ceremony inside Parliament on Friday, Nitish Kumar took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha, marking a decisive transition from Patna's corridors of power to the national stage, and effectively drawing the curtain on his long tenure as Bihar's Chief Minister.
The oath was administered by Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan in his chamber, in the presence of senior union ministers and leaders across party lines.
