Patna, July 30 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today instructed the authorities concerned to preserve the historical and cultural significance of Barabar (Vanavar) caves area in the Jehanabad region.
The Chief Minister inspected the development work in Barabar (Vanavar) region located in Makhdumpur block of Jehanabad district and asked to preserve the historical and cultural significance of the area, while also promoting tourism.
During the inspection, Kumar said that the Vanavar Caves reflect India's ancient cultural heritage.
He said that during the month of Shravan, a large number of devotees come to perform Jalabhishek at the Baba Siddheshwarnath Mahadev Temple on Vanavar hill.
