Patna, July 3 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected the rising water levels of river Ganga in the state capital and instructed officials to remain fully alert and ensure that all precautionary measures were in place for areas along the riverbanks.
Kumar reviewed the rising water levels of the Ganga at Digha Ghat, Krishna Ghat, and Gandhi Ghat in the state capital and assessed the areas near the river. Concerned with the potential flooding, he assessed the vulnerable embankments and surrounding low-lying areas and instructed the concerned authorities to continuously monitor the water level, especially in the sensitive zones.
