Patna, Aug. 5 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Satyapal Malik, former Governor of Bihar.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Satyapal Malik served as the Governor of Bihar from October 4, 2017, to August 22, 2018. In addition to Bihar, he also served as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, and Meghalaya.
"With the passing of Satyapal Malik, the country has lost a towering personality," the Chief Minister stated.
He added that Malik had discharged his responsibilities as Governor with great competence. "His death is an irreparable loss to both the political and social spheres."
