Patna, Dec. 16 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday donated his one month's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Kumar handed over the cheque equal to his one month salary to the Officer-in-Charge of the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and Secretary to the Chief Minister, Anupam Kumar.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of Bihar, those capable sections of society, to contribute generously to the Relief Fund.

He said that public support is essential to provide timely help to people affected by natural disasters and other emergencies.
