Patna, Jan. 2 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday directed officials to write to the Centre for comprehensive development of the historic and archaeological Kumhrar Park in Patna.

While inspecting the park, he said considering its historical, archaeological and tourism significance, the Kumhrar Park needs systematic development and beautification.

He pointed out that the park is under the jurisdiction of the centre and is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). He said that several ancient architectural remains were excavated at the site.
