Patna, July 3 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today called on Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on the issue of appointment of the Vice Chancellor for Patliputra University.
Official sources said here that both discussed the issue in detail.
Later the Governor appointed Prof. Upendra Prasad Singh as Vice-Chancellor of the University after effective and meaningful consultation with the State Government on the panel submitted by the Search Committee.
The notification to this effect was issued during the day.
