Patna, Dec. 7 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday directed officials to expand dairy plant capacity, procurement infrastructure and milk processing facilities for strengthening dairy sector.
Kumar visited Patna Dairy Project at Sudha, Phulwarisharif, to review operations and instructed the officials to broaden the capacity of the dairy plant, strengthen procurement infrastructure, and expand milk processing facilities.
He emphasised the need to increase the number of dairy cooperative committees and connecting more livestock farmers to boost their income and create new employment opportunities. He also directed authorities to ensure proper housing facilities for workers at the plant.
