Patna, Sept. 21 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced a series of measures to strengthen the functioning of Vikas Mitras and education volunteers associated with welfare and literacy programs across the state.
In an announcement shared on X, Kumar wrote that under Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission, each Vikas Mitra will be provided a one-time financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to purchase tablets. The move is aimed at facilitating the maintenance of beneficiary data and easing other official responsibilities.
