Patna, Feb. 27 -- Expressing deep sorrow over the death of four youths who met their watery grave in river Ganga, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced an exgratia of Rs 4 Lakh to the kith of each deceased.
In his condolence message, Kumar dubbed the incident as most unfortunate here on Thursday and directed the authorities concerned to provide the exgratia amount to the kith of the victims.
Kumar also prayed to the Almighty to give courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss.
Four out of 6 youths who had gone to take a holy dip in river Ganga at Collectorate ghat in the state capital on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival were drowned as they stepped deep into the water.
