Hyderabad, May 5 -- Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several National Highway projects worth about 3,900 crore at a public programme held in Sirpur Kagaznagar, Komaram Bheem District, on Monday.
Speaking at the public meeting, Gadkari acknowledged the unique historical and cultural significance of Adilabad district, noting that the people of the region have long struggled for land and livelihood.
He emphasised that Adilabad remains socially and economically backward, with a strong need for employment opportunities.
