Amman, March 27 -- India's Nitesh secured a bronze medal in the Greco-Roman 97kg category at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2025, concluding the country's campaign in the discipline with two podium finishes.
The 22-year-old wrestler dominated Kazakhstan's Ilyas Guchigov 9-0 via technical superiority in his opening bout but fell to reigning Olympic champion Mohammad Hadi Saravi of Iran by the same margin in the semifinals. He then bounced back in the bronze medal match, outclassing Amanberdi Agamammedov of Turkmenistan 9-0 (VSU).
