Bengaluru, Feb. 24 -- NITES President Harpreet Singh Saluja on Monday criticised Infosys for its "double standards" in handling employee assessments and terminations.
He stated that while the company now claims to offer employees more preparation time, it did not extend such consideration to the 700 employees it abruptly dismissed on February 7 without prior notice or severance benefits.
Infosys has indefinitely postponed the further assessments for the next batch of employees, citing the need to "give employees more time to study." However, employee union NITES has alleged that this reasoning is merely a cover-up following backlash over recent terminations.
