Lucknow, Oct. 30 -- The image of Lucknow Police has once again been tarnished after Nishatganj outpost in-charge, Sub-Inspector Dhananjay Singh, was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. The Anti-Corruption Organisation (ACO) team arrested him during a meticulously planned operation.

Singh had allegedly demanded the bribe to remove the name of a coaching center owner from a gangrape case, officials confirmed today.

According to reports, when the Anti-Corruption officials confronted him, the officer initially tried to put up resistance, but the team overpowered him and took him into custody.
