Chennai, Jan. 22 -- After slamming the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu for allegedly removing LED screens and preventing live screening of the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday thanked the judiciary for rendering justice.
After the Supreme Court and the Madras High Court, in a special sitting hours before the start of consecration event, intervened, live screening was shown in several parts of the State.
The Supreme Court directed the Tamil Nadu Government not to summarily reject requests for live-streaming of the Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony on the sole ground that other communities are living in the location.
