Mumbai/New Delhi, Oct. 9 -- In a big boost to India-UK cooperation in the education sector, nine top British universities are set to open their campuses in India, with Southampton University already setting up campus in Gurgaon.
Of the others, Queens University Belfast, Coventry University, University of Surrey and University of Bristol, are opening campuses in Gift City near Gandhinagar; while Aberdeen University and University of York are opening campuses in Mumbai, and the University of Liverpool and Lancaster University are opening their campuses in Bengaluru.
This was revealed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri in his briefing to the media in Mumbai today.
