Malappuram, June 18 -- Elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct a free and fair election in the Nilambur Assembly by-election on Thursday, said District Collector V R Vinod on Wednesday. District Collector Vinod said the polling will start from 7 am to 6 pm in 263 polling stations, including 59 new polling stations, set up for the by-election and voting in all constituencies will be webcasted. 315 EVMs (electronic voting machines) including reserves and 341 VVPATs will be used for voting. Three booths were set up inside the forest for tribal people at Punchakolli Model Pre-school (booth No 42), Vaniyampuzha Forest station in Irutukuthi (booth No 120) and Nedukuyam Amenity centre (booth Non 225).
