Chandigarh, Nov. 4 -- A Nigerian student who was found wandering unclothed and disoriented in Jalandhar has safely returned to her homeland after months of medical treatment and rehabilitation in Punjab.
According to humanitarian group "Manukhta Di Sewa Sab Toh Baddi Sewa Society", the young woman, identified as Sharon, had lost her mental balance and was living on the streets in a distressed state for several days. Founder Gurpreet Singh Mintu said he rescued her on April 30 and took her to "Sapnan Da Ghar", a Ludhiana-based care home, where she received medical treatment and counselling.
