Bareilly, Nov. 20 -- A Nigerian student studying at Rohilkhand University has been booked for allegedly preparing and uploading forged documents to extend his visa, with the help of a South Sudanese student studying in Punjab, police said on Wednesday.

The fraud came to light during a confidential verification process, leading to an FIR at Baradari Police Station, officials confirmed.

Police have detained the Nigerian along with another student from te same country whose laptop was used to create the forged documents.

The second student's laptop has been seized, and both are being questioned. The incident triggered an alarm after authorities discovered the fraud.
