Chennai, Dec. 5 -- FIDE Vice President and Britsh Grand Master Nigel Short today slammed the All India Chess Federation (AICF) as anti-player, while mooting the idea of holding an IPL in the sport of Chess.

Talking to reporters here, Nigel, who is on a promo visit to the city, said since a large number of players paly the game, India could hold chess IPL.

Earlier, there was proposal to have IPL in Chess in India, but the administrators were not inclined to it.

Stating that he personally felt that the AICF was anti-player as it was yet to fully implement the Competition Commission of India's (CCI) order, Nigel said the FIDE ratings of several Indian players have been restored.
