New Delhi, Nov. 12 -- A key accused in the 2023 Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan petrol bomb blast case was on Wednesday convicted and sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) by the Special Court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Poonamallee, Chennai.
Vinoth alias Karukka Vinoth has been sentenced to 7, 3 and 2 years respectively under various sections of IPC.
He has also been sentenced to 5 years under section of 506(ii) of IPC, 10 years each under sections 3(a)(b), 4(B)(i) and 5(a)(b) of the Explosive Substances Act, besides 3 years under the Tamil Nadu Property (Prevention of Damages and Loss) Act.
