Kochi, Jan. 28 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out coordinated raids at 20 locations linked to the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) and its affiliated organisations across three districts of Kerala.

The searches began early Wednesday morning and targeted homes and offices associated with PFI activists and members of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), which authorities have described as an affiliate of the banned organisation.

Among the properties searched was the residence of Famis Abubacker, a former PFI district leader and current SDPI activist in Chavakkad, where the NIA team conducted a detailed inspection.
