Hoshiarpur, June 26 -- Two teams of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out early morning raids at two houses in Garhi Mohalla, Urmar, on Thursday, police sources said. The raids began around 5 am and continued for nearly six hours. During the operation, the NIA teams conducted extensive searches and questioned the occupants, the sources said.

However, agency officials declined to disclose the purpose or outcome of the searches.

Sources said the NIA teams raided the house of Daljit Singh Manu, who is currently believed to be in Portugal and has been absconding for a long time in connection with an NDPS case.
