Mumbai, Dec. 20 -- The National Investigation Agency has arrested two absconding members of the banned CPI (Maoist) in the abduction and murder of Dinesh Pusu Gawade in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district, officials said on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as Raghu, a resident of Telangana's Nizamabad district, and Shankar Bhima Mahaka of Gadchiroli district. Raghu, who used several aliases including Pratap, Irpa, Muddella and Sailu, is a senior Maoist leader, while Mahaka was an active member of an armed Maoist squad operating in the region.
