Delhi, Aug. 26 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken suo motu cognizance of the death of three labourers in a building collapse in the Daryaganj area of Delhi last week.
The victims, all migrant workers from Bihar, died when a portion of an under-construction four-storey building gave way.
Expressing concern over the reported incident, the NHRC today said it has issued notices to the chief secretary of the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Delhi).
