Hyderabad, July 28 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today began a two-day open hearing and camp sitting at the Dr MCR Human Resource Development Institute in Hyderabad, aimed at expediting grievance redressal and holding public authorities accountable in Telangana.
The proceedings are being conducted by two Division Benches. Division Bench-I is chaired by Justice V Ramasubramanian, Chairperson of NHRC, while Division Bench-II is headed by Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi and Member Vijaya Bharathi Sayani. A Full Bench was also constituted to hear select cases of significant public importance, many of which are suo motu matters taken up by the Commission.
