New Delhi, June 23 -- In order to address the issue of water logging on National Highways during the monsoon season, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is taking proactive measures for flood preparedness across the country.
To tackle challenges during the monsoon season, NHAI has initiated a 15-day drive involving its officials, contractors, and consultants. They are inspecting different highway stretches to pinpoint vulnerable areas at risk of damage, waterlogging, or landslides. The aim is to ensure smooth water drainage through structures like bridges and culverts on National Highways, an official statement said.
