Shimla, Sept. 24 -- National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), which is facing massive criticism about various reports of irregularities in forest clearences for national highway projects and Kiratpur Manali four lane in Himachal Pradesh, termed these as "misleading and factually incorrect."In a clarification issued today, NHAI said all construction activities in the state are undertaken only after due permission from the concerned authorities.

"Extreme care is exercised during implementation and no illegal activities have been undertaken," the statement read.
