Shimla, Dec. 12 -- The National Green Tribunal (NGT) Principal Bench has taken serious note of allegations regarding environmental and safety violations in the construction of the 2.4-km Bijli Mahadev Ropeway Project in Himachal Pradesh's Kharal Valley.
The Tribunal was hearing Original Application No. 481/2025 and O.A. No. 523/2025, both raising common concerns over the project's compliance with statutory norms.
During the proceedings, the Applicants pointed to significant gaps in the project's seismic, landslide, and flood-risk assessments.
