Shimla, Oct. 10 -- The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has dismissed an application filed by Naveen Kumar of Uttar Pradesh against a hospital, alleging unauthorised operation and violation of the Biomedical Waste Management Rules, 2016.
The NGT's principal bench, New Delhi, comprising Justice Arun Kumar Tyagi (Judicial Member) and Dr. Afroz Ahmad (Expert Member) pronounced its judgment on October 8 after reserving orders on September 23.
The applicant had sought closure of the 10-bedded Shivalik Hospital in Una district of Himachal Pradesh, and imposition of environmental compensation, as also action for operating in a non-conforming area.
