Agartala, July 4 -- In a move to ensure smooth and convenient travel for devotees during Tripura's traditional weeklong festival Kharchi Puja, which began yesterday, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced a pair of special trains between Dharmanagar (northern bordering town) and Agartala.

Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today said the special train services have been planned to accommodate the large number of pilgrims who visit the revered temple of the Fourteen Gods during the auspicious occasion. At present only one pair of local train in the morning and evening from both sides has been running.
