Agartala, May 24 -- The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) completed a successful trial run of electric passenger trains between Agartala and Arunachal Station near Silchar of South Assam on Friday to mark a new chapter towards railway line electrification.
According to NFR officials, the inaugural electric traction service of Agartala-Khongsang Jan Shatabdi Express started from Agartala early in the morning with passengers. The return trial service was held later in the afternoon.
