Hyderabad, June 6 -- :Nuclear Fuel complex (NFC) Chief Executive and Distinguished Scientist Dr. Komal Kapoor, on Friday informed that the prestigious project "NFC-Kota" has achieved physical progress of about 96 per cent.
The project facilities related to fuel tube production were inaugurated in March 2025 and production commenced with the available resources, said Dr Komal Kapoor.
Participating in the Hyderabad-based NFC Day celebrations, commemorating the first nuclear fuel bundle production, way back in June 1973 here, he said one module to produce 250 TPY of nuclear fuel is also in the last leg of commissioning having required regulatory clearances is expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.
