Rio De Janeiro, March 7 -- Neymar was recalled to Brazil's national squad on Thursday for World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina after a 17-month absence.
The 33-year-old has not represented his country since suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in Montevideo in October 2023.
"We know that he is still in a recovery process, but we also understand that his quality could help us to overcome any situation that may arise during a match," Brazil manager Dorival Junior told a news conference.
